What is the Professional Composite Batten?

The Professional Composite Batten is designed as a resilient batten used to enable the construction of a service void while reducing impact sound transmission. It offers long-lasting support for floating timber or chipboard floors.

The Professional Composite Batten comprises of 45mm x 45mm x 1800mm long treated timber bonded to a 10mm resilient layer.

Application

This product is ideal for use in situations requiring impact sound insulation between separating floors. It creates a service void that is perfect for use with underfloor heating.

The maximum centres are 450mm when using 18mm chipboard and 600mm when using 22mm chipboard. For a room size of 3.6m x 3.6m using 18mm chipboard, you would require 14 Professional Composite Battens.
