Description
What is the Premium Acoustic Overlay Board 28?
The Premium Acoustic Overlay Board 28 is one of our highest performing acoustic overlay boards designed for effective airborne noise reduction. The mass and weight of the board are critical to its performance. This board is constructed with cement particle board, a cement-impregnated fiber board that is extremely heavy and dense, offering a high level of sound reduction. Coupled with resilient acoustic felt, it provides additional impact reduction, making it a highly effective overlay system for sound proofing.
This high mass acoustic floor product has been developed to increase both airborne and impact acoustic performance when used in lightweight constructions. By adding high mass products to existing lightweight structures, the airborne noise performance significantly improves.
The Premium Acoustic Overlay Board consists of an 18mm tongued & grooved cement particle board bonded to a 10mm resilient felt layer.
The board should be laid in a conventional brick bond pattern with all tongued & grooved joints glued using appropriate adhesive. Flanking strips should be used to isolate the perimeters effectively.
The product range can be used to meet building regulations regarding sound resistance in both new builds and conversion projects.
