Description
Product Overview
The Premium Impact Noise Reduction Foam is engineered to create a resilient layer that effectively reduces impact noise transmission in both concrete and timber floors. Made from inert, cross-linked closed-cell polyethylene foam, this product also provides a vapor barrier and exhibits great compression strength, ensuring your floors remain quiet and comfortable.
Installation Methods
For raft floor construction, batten strips of the noise reduction foam are applied to the underside of the timber battens. In a conventional timber construction, self-adhesive batten strips can be easily applied to the top of the floor joists, creating a resilient layer between the joists and the boarding which helps to significantly reduce impact noise.
