Description

SilentCloud™ 100 mm Acoustic Mineral Wool Slabs are high-performance sound absorption slabs engineered specifically for professional soundproofing applications where predictable results, regulatory awareness, and long-term reliability are essential.

This is not generic insulation repurposed for acoustic use. SilentCloud™ slabs are acoustically engineered by design, with a carefully controlled density, fibre structure, and thickness that work together to absorb airborne sound energy within wall cavities, floor voids, and ceiling systems. The result is a measurable reduction in noise transmission, resonance, and reverberation across critical residential and commercial frequency ranges.

At a full 100 mm thickness, these slabs deliver significantly improved mid- and low-frequency absorption compared to thinner or lower-density alternatives, making them suitable for serious soundproofing projects where performance cannot be compromised. The open-fibre acoustic structure allows sound waves to enter the slab and dissipate efficiently, preventing cavity amplification and “drum skin” effects that undermine overall system performance.

SilentCloud™ Acoustic Mineral Wool is specified by contractors, developers, and acoustic professionals for use in separating walls, intermediate floors, and ceilings where sound control must perform as part of a complete construction system. It is widely used in residential developments, commercial offices, studios, home cinemas, and refurbishment projects requiring controlled acoustic environments.

Fire safety is integral to the specification. The slabs achieve Euroclass A1 non-combustible fire performance, making them suitable for use in residential and commercial buildings where fire compliance is critical. When installed as part of a correctly designed sound insulation build-up, they support the acoustic intent of UK Building Regulations Part E.

Installation is trade-ready and efficient. Slabs are cut slightly oversize and friction-fitted between studs or joists to ensure full cavity contact with no voids or compression. The rigid, high-density construction maintains dimensional stability over time, eliminating sagging or settlement that can reduce acoustic effectiveness and lead to call-backs on site.

While SilentCloud™ Acoustic Mineral Wool offers secondary thermal resistance, it is purpose-engineered for sound absorption. It is designed to work in conjunction with acoustic plasterboard, resilient bars, membranes, and isolation systems to deliver effective sound insulation. Performance is determined by the complete construction, not the infill alone.

This is professional acoustic insulation for projects where sound control must perform as specified—on day one and for the life of the building.

SilentCloud™ products are developed with a singular focus on acoustic intent, predictable behaviour, and dependable results in real-world building systems.
