Acoustic Batten 70 for Concrete Floor

The SilentCloud Batten 70 is a composite batten designed to minimize impact sound transmission between floors, creating a spacious service void to support floating timber or chipboard floors. Compliant with Robust Details FFT1 over concrete and steel, it enhances the performance of timber separating floors in refurbishment projects.

Constructed with 75mmx45mmx1800mm treated timber battens bonded to a 10mm SilentCloud felt resilient layer, the overall batten dimensions are 75mm deep x 45mm wide x 1800mm long. It can be installed over timber or concrete floors, providing a minimum 70mm void as required for Robust Details.

Installation Fitting Instructions:

• Lay the battens, felt side down, in continuous rows at recommended centers. Leave a 10-15mm expansion gap around all perimeters and fix the flooring to the battens using SilentCloud-Bond Panel Adhesive and secure with ring nails or screws. The fixings must not penetrate the resilient layer. Glue the flooring boards at all teegee joints board to board.
• Use SilentCloud-Seal 20 Perimeter Seal to fill the perimeter expansion gap or follow Robust Detail instructions using SilentCloud-RD Flanking Strip.
