Product Description:

Introducing our 900ml Acoustic Sealant Tube. Please be aware that these tubes require the larger 900ml applicator gun, not the standard 300ml guns.

For optimal performance, we recommend one tube for every 10m2 on average. However, if your walls have uneven surfaces or you need to fill extra gaps, we suggest using additional tubes.

Our Acoustic Sealant is a high-strength, permanently flexible sealant and adhesive. It is specially formulated for sealing perimeters and gaps where sound might escape. The sealant also effectively dampens vibration around perimeters, reducing flanking vibration, and fills and seals holes where services have been installed.

Independently tested by Warrington Fire Research (Report Number 144508/B, Feb 2005), our Acoustic Sealant meets rigorous standards, including acoustic rating to BS EN ISO 140/3 and air permeability testing to EN13141-1 for residential ventilation.

Limitations:

• Cure time may extend in damp or humid conditions.
• Do not abrade when cured.
• Overpaint only after full curing (24 hours, or 4-5 days in damp, cold, or humid conditions).
• Do not apply below 5°C.
• For overhead boarding applications, use with mechanical fixings.

Application:

Surface Preparation: Ensure all surfaces are clean and dust-free. Remove loose or flaking coatings, old sealant, and mastic joints before application. Prime highly porous substrates, such as new plaster, with a PVA bond diluted 1:4 with water. Surfaces can be slightly damp but not wet.

Application:

Fit the cartridge into a 1-liter mastic gun. Cut the nozzle to the required length and puncture the inner membrane seal before applying.

• As a sealant: Cut the nozzle slightly larger than the gap, apply, slightly overfill, and finish smoothly with a caulking tool or filler knife. Clean up excess within 30 minutes of application using a damp cloth.
